Artists in Residence are in Residence (Virtually!)

In spite of COVID-19, we have been running this summer's season of Artists in Residence.
After 18 consecutive years, we couldn't let a lockdown stop us. This summer the residencies are on line.
Artists have been working to engage audiences virtually, through a wide range of social media.
Keep track of who's doing what on our Facebook page, on our twitter feed, or on Instagram.

This week's artist:
Katrina Slade

Katrina Slade is using this time as inspiration for her ongoing project entitled Eco Elixir,
using paint, collage, and drawing to express her perception of the forest atmosphere.”
“Eco Elixir is inspired by my urgency to commune with nature after the COVID-19 lockdown,” Slade says.
During the residence, she will explain the concept of forest bathing,
and tell viewers how they can try it. She will also create time-lapse videos
of her project as she works on it, and do a Q&A period with viewers
about her art and abstract art in general.

Previous artists have been Nichole Saunders, Tracey Dutt, Al Cusack, Katie Hamill,
Matthew Owen Gwathmey, Craig Schneider, Maria Bourgeois,
Jennifer Lee Wiebe, Luanna Dugas, and Ysabelle Vautour

Next week: Lena Beckley.
